Description

Wherefore art thou Spicy bush basil?

Study session:
The original name "Basil" comes from "basilicum" in Latin, which means "royal". Rumour has it that this plant was born to adorn the Queen's pizzas... Anyways, the rowdy Spicy Bush Basil beats cousin Basil in terms of fragrance #FamilyRivalry. Dare to tame this fiery bush and it's slightly spicy flavour, and your cooking will be of noble status.

An innovative hydroponic system.

Thanks to our patented Float® design, you only have one thing to do: add water once every two or three weeks when the floater sinks. The plant takes all mineral salts it needs out of the water (these are released into the water over the weeks). Discover the Prêt à Pousser technology.

Questions /Answers about Spicy bush basil

Could you repeat the question please?

Questions /Answers

    • My Spicy Bush Basil takes a long time to sprout!

Spicy Bush Basil might take a longer time than it's neighbours to germinate (up to two weeks longer). Next to an early bloomer, you might be under the impression that something's gone wrong! If after two weeks you've still got nothing, send us a quick pic via the "Assistance" page on our app.

    • There are algae on my pod!

No worries, it's pretty common. Spicy bush basil takes some time to germinate, and the rich environment of the substrate is helping the development of algae or mold. Once your plant starts to sprout and grow, its strands will cut off the access to light of the algae, and they will disappear. If the situation seems out of control, do not hesitate to send us a photo in the "Assistance" section of the application.
